This project is a front-end focused TechCrunch clone that accurately replicates the original platform’s layout, structure, and visual identity. The clone mirrors the homepage design, including the featured headline section, trending articles, sidebar content, category navigation, and article cards arranged in a clean, editorial-style grid. Special attention was given to typography, spacing, color schemes, and content hierarchy to ensure the interface closely matches the real TechCrunch website. The project also recreates interactive elements such as hover effects, navigation menus, and responsive article layouts for different screen sizes. Emphasis was placed on building reusable components and maintaining a structured layout to reflect a professional news platform. The overall goal was to deliver a pixel-perfect, responsive, and polished front-end experience that closely resembles the real TechCrunch website.
The Challenge & The Solution
Developing a front-end TechCrunch clone presented several challenges. Accurately replicating the complex news-style layout, including featured headlines, multi-column article grids, sidebars, and category sections, required careful attention to spacing and alignment. Maintaining proper content hierarchy through typography, font weights, and visual emphasis was essential to match the professional editorial feel of the original platform. Ensuring full responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices while preserving layout integrity added another layer of complexity. Handling large amounts of dynamic article content without breaking the design structure was also challenging. Additionally, recreating subtle hover effects, navigation behavior, and consistent UI styling demanded precise implementation and thorough cross-browser testing.
